- any criticism = automatically "biased" [no such thing as valid critique or debate]
- question government = have your professional ability / status attacked [even though it's core part of job]

I'm not so interested in demand side of populism, more its supply side. But these glimpses into mindset of those who gladly gobble up post-truth hard right propaganda are useful reminder: substantial proportion of population have no grasp of or loyalty to liberal democracy
ps, I do wish the poor proto-facists would / could make up their little minds: one minute it's my country & I'm a traitor for criticising Our Great Leader... the next I'm a paddy c*!t who should f^¥k off back to my own shitty country. No wonder they have such identity issues...
