I learned a lot from Jim David's @uvapress book about Dunmore of Dunmore's proclamation. Fascinating. Of course @ElenaSchneid's recent and super prize-winning bk on mid-18th c Cuba. & lots more in the recent scholarship to follow up with.//
@uvapress @ElenaSchneid Am reminded to add here Gary Nash's chapter in the Oxford Handbook of the American Revolution, ed by Jane Kamensky and Ed Gray. The footnotes & bibliography albeit c 2013 are wonderful.
