Wilkie says:
1) #Assange is confined to his cell 20hrs+/day
2) "Absolutely no doubt" he's a "political prisoner" & US is determined to extradite him "to get even" for exposing "hard evidence of war crimes"

Began this AM. Today's thread is bring posted belatedly, during lunch.
Hamish Arnott is a public law and civil litigation lawyer. He told the court that EA is a “Very loving and supportive member of my family”, “cousin to my daughters”
Kind and supportive granddaughter [his father] and supportive to his children when his father was dying as well as to his children
Have you ever given Emily Arnott advice on Criminal matters? No I haven’t. It wouldn’t be a good idea. Asked if he ever gave her advice in respect of her protest action that she is indicted under. “No, No I haven’t” he responds.
[ME’s note. It was implied/suggested yesterday by the prosecution during its cross-examination of Emily Arnott that she had sought legal advice from her Aunt/Uncle and/or that her defences weren’t genuine]
Asked if she advised her to fabricate a legal argument to support his niece’s case, he responds “I wouldn’t advise her to do that” (fabricate a defence to a criminal charge)…. Would be “very serious misconduct”
Grenhall is done. Next Prosecutor will cross-examine Hamish Arnott.

[as always, this is not verbatim, this is a partial summary of what was said, quotation marks excluded obv]

Asking again about what a security guard is doing on CCTV. Says it looks like he’s assaulting him. Repeatedly asks what he thinks guard is trying to do, keeps saying need to ask him. Looks like he is assaulting me.

… Whilst you were on the roof made aware of a female called Sara who was arrested locked to the gate…
Someone told me but I saw her being arrested… I was told after she was released that she was being held naked in her cell for 9 hours… someone on the roof…

That information was it accepted as factually correct information? I trusted the person who told me… trusted everyone on the roof… big base of trust …
Did that change the atmosphere on the roof when you were told that Sara[h] held in a cell naked…
Not sure, it was a combination of factors, really cold during night, really hot during the day, police surrounding us… shining lights into us at night, didn’t eat properly, whilst on the 16th there was a bombing raid in Gaza, several things that might have made an impact while on the roof.
Think I met her before, she was part of the collective… also met her before PA
Spoke to her before [roof action]? Don’t think so… no…
Aware about whether she had any mental health difficulties? No

public gallery is packed. There are people who want to sit in who can't. After very brief discussions outside presence of the jury, the jury have been sent for and have just arrived 10:19.
Richard Barnard has been asked to come down to the Witness Box so that Sally Hobson, barrister representing the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) can continue with her cross examination from last Friday.
