#legionofsuperheores 8 and 9 already is and will probably always be one of my personal favorite things I have ever done in comics. its legion, its art, its beautiful work from people you NEVER thought you'd see together in a book like this. its a real 'only comics' experience.
we planned this crazy 40 artists jam pre lockdown and when the shit hit the fan I thought a lot of artists would bail, and I would totally understand, but instead I started getting texts and emails: 'we're still doing the legion thing, right? I need to go to space.'

indy vs mainstream Is a complicated subject. the terminology itself is decades outdated for comics, movies, music & books. the term Indy refers to the spirit in which it was created but true art, & shit, can come from both places. the audience has final say in what is mainstream.
Most audiences have no idea where or how their stories or artwork is produced. Be it by a passionate artist alone in the basement or by a room full of 'ad wizards' and, really, nor should they. all that matters is if the piece connected with them as intended or wanted.
