New: The Energy Department just released former Sec. Rick Perry's travel expense records for his May 2019 delegation to Ukraine.

Perry was one of the so-called "three amigos" running Trump's shadow diplomacy in Ukraine — and the only one not to testify.

Recall that the White House sent Perry in place of Vice President Mike Pence (who had been scheduled to attend Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's inauguration) as part of the campaign to pressure Ukraine to announce an investigation into one of Trump's political opponents.
The records released tonight include an expense report from a top DOE official who accompanied Perry to Ukraine, describing the trip's purpose as: "Meetings regarding corporate governance of Naftogaz" americanoversight.org/energy-departm…

🚨🚨 President Trump has removed the federal watchdog in charge of overseeing the $2 trillion coronavirus response. With that much taxpayer money flowing, independent oversight is vital, and it is now in grave jeopardy.
Two weeks ago, Trump declared "I will be the oversight" of the multi-trillion dollar coronavirus response bill.

Trump has used the presidency to enrich himself at taxpayer expense, and as we wrote then, he "cannot be trusted with a blank check."
