Such a hard time economically for so many people. Also hard for parents that are trying to continue to educate their kids while confined to the house.

1/ Random things I wish existed for families right now that are stuck at home.…..
2/ Product that allowed user to silently navigate a children’s book. Would allow parent (or someone remotely- i.e. grandparents) to read to child without having the book physically. Going to library to get new books not possible right now where we live.
3/ @YouTube videos of stars reading their favorite children’s books. @TheRock, @KingJames, @Beyonce, @oliviawilde, @GwynethPaltrow, @johnlegend @chrissyteigen, @jessicaalba, @StephenCurry30, @TomBrady, @serenawilliams
4/ @amazon feature that had suggested STEM projects for kids and then one click to order all required components
5/ A decent equivalent of @HomeCourtai for other sports

A bunch of great startups will get caught in post-money traps and go to 0 or get sold for parts in this environment.

They raised at high valuations in the past 12-18 months, and now their prospects for next 12 months are bleak.

That sucks. Pisses me off for them.
I also believe a bunch of entrepreneurs will see those winddowns as opportunities. Opportunities to start very similar businesses to those mentioned above, with healthier cap structures, and "better" timing. To put it bluntly, basically copying those roadmaps.
Reminds me of a period a few yrs ago, less true today, when a number of entrepreneurs were taking a company/product that worked in the North American market and simply copying it in other geos.

1/ Lots of challenges and opportunities that get catalyzed by COVID-19. As we transition into a new normal, I’ve wanted to rethink a few parts of our strategy, structure and process - including things like norms and how we evaluate performance.
2/ In this state of uncertainty, how certain are we about how we currently measure success? Historically I’ve thought about measuring Inputs v. Outputs.
3/ To level set, Input goals are levers that drive Output goals:

-Sales: Close 3 new customers or bring in $1m in revenue (output) BY cold calling 50 customers this month (input)
-Product: Improve conversion rate by 5% (O) BY interviewing 10 customers to improve cust exp (I)

Cultural challenges for CEOs during COVID19. At least challenges for me.

1/ I’ve hesitated to share much through this crisis about the impact it is having on me/us. The health & economic impacts are far more important than startup culture.
2/ There are people far more informed to talk about those things.

But this relatively small impact on company culture has been a really big one for me. So recognizing the bigger picture, here it goes…..
3/ I told our product team this week that cultural challenges are the things related to our business that keep me up the most. That’s always been true- but especially true now. I want to share what some of those challenges are. Intention is to help others know they aren’t alone.
