Because—again—it would be politically problematic to acknowledge Trump fired the top NSC expert with the singular authority to prepare for/coordinate responses to pandemics, esp. on the day of a new Ebola outbreak.
@Mil4Ness @markfrisk @dub112 Your fixation on the word fired is telling. You're only trying to raise doubts and uncertainty about what transpired, because, according to you, if no one was fired, they must have quit. And if they quit, the president did nothing wrong or shortsighted.
