This evening, Gov. Seyi Makinde visited Agbami Isolation Centre at Jericho chest Hospital to inspect the facility.
During the visit, he stated that since the identification of the Ekiti case on the 18th of March 2020, the Oyo State Government has ramped up its preparation for
any possible outbreak of the pandemic.
The Governor added that the state government is collaborating with the College Of Medicine to set up two (2) Diagnostic centres at the University College Hospital (UCH) Ibadan, which will begin operations by the end of the week after
He made it known that as a result of the newly designated Isolation Centre at Olodo which can accommodate one hundred (100) Isolation bed, the five (5) already established isolation centres have been reduced to three (3) which
are:
Four-bed Isolation Centre at Ladoke Akintola Teaching Hospital, (LAUTECH) Ogbomosho.
Ten-bed Isolation Centre at Jericho Chest Hospital, Ibadan.
And four-bed Isolation Centre at University College Hospital, (UCH) Ibadan.
The governor added that the Emergency
Operating Centres has commenced 24-hours operations.
Today, the Oyo State Government delegation led by the Deputy Governor, @raufolaniyan who represented Gov. @seyiamakinde paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Oyo State Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, who died on Thursday morning.
The Deputy Governor in his condolence message stated that the late Kehinde Ayoola was an active and resourceful member of the State Executive Council.
He extended the heartfelt sympathy of the government and the people of Oyo State to the wife of the deceased,
Prof. Olukemi Ayoola and the entire family.
While responding on behalf of the family, the son of the deceased, Beel'Oluwawi Ayoola, appreciated the state government delegation for the visit.
