Amazon was very tricky and tried to change the language to make it seem like they were never asking for donations but luckily we have screenshots and the whole thing was exposed
Why aren't you reading about a massive company like Amazon, with over 280B in revenue, soliciting public donations to pay sick workers in every news outlet

Because Amazon's highly paid PR flaks have convinced a bunch of outlets that it had NO OTHER CHOICE

Which is not true
Amazon did not have to set up a grant program to pay contract drivers that get sick. It could simply have PAID THEM.

It chose not to and then pretended like this grant program was its only options.

And a lot of outlets believed them.
