This is a v disappinting response from @EU_Commission.
Hungary is not mentioned by name, even as Orban openly flouts the EU foundational values. The new law has to be viewed in the context of Hungary’s already weakened democracy & institutions. The new law has no safeguards.

The context against Hungary’s new law must be seen in the context of a nation - sitting comfortably within the EU - with dramatically disintegrating measures of democracy, rule of law & human rights.
