Let's talk a bit about @Displate and its particularly dishonest policy. Like many other artists, it has been months since I noticed the theft of my illustrations on this site.

After spending hours trying to report thefts with clear evidence, a new level has been reached. For its facebook ads, #Displate highlights an artist who seems very "inspired by my work":
I'm not going to comment on the topic between inspiration and plagiarism, that's not the topic. But Displate probably targeted my profile as an advertising keyword because I get messages every day from my friends and my community to ask if these are my drawings.
Please, don't buy anything on @Displate, it's full of art thiefs. The administrators are complicit in thieves and it's filled with images taken from google image with ridiculous resolutions.
I have a lot to say about this site which has been scamming artists for years. I will speak more specifically about it next week, because I have a lot to say about it. For several months I tried to get them to react to their dishonest methods.

Comme tout les trois mois, un youtuber à succès ou une startup tente l'appel au travail spéculatif sous prétexte de concours ou travail communautaire. Cette fois, le youtuber en question a écouté les remarques et rétropédalé, excellent move donc d'écoute sans se braquer.

In my first job in architecture, I was confronted with a violent, mysoginistic and discriminating managers. I have faced it, and I know the threats and pressures that we can receive (and worse for women).
I saw and suffered violent things from a company managed by humiliation. It was 2 years of conflicts. I swore to myself that I would never do this to anyone.
I know that a job can be a fulfilling world. But not with the old and current methods.
Essential post for animation and video game students. Unachievable ambitions, artistic pride, and willingness to do everything is the perfect recipe for self-destructiveness and go blind to your own talent. You don't have to be a "game changer" immediatly after school.
Take your time, it's ok to be a junior artist in a small company. Everyone need time to understand the industry, to accumulate culture and skill.
For me it's the pro-gamer syndrome, students want to reach the top 1 position. But you'll never find it in art and creative jobs.
Gobelins School is a neurosis.
12 years ago I failed perfectly the entrance test of this school. But it was ok for me. My goal wasn't excellence, but fulfillment. I think it's more easy to reach :)
