Because delivery companies classify workers as contractors & not employees, they don’t have guaranteed access to standard benefits like a minimum wage, health insurance, paid leave, unemployment & OSHA protections. This misclassification is wrong & it endangers everyone's health.
In this public health emergency, it’s more important than ever to fairly compensate delivery workers and provide them health and safety protections. I urge these delivery companies to treat their employees with the dignity and respect they deserve.
