Donald Trump, through malfeasance and by putting his re-election ahead of the fate of the people, damned hundreds of thousands of Americans to agonizing deaths and cratered our economy, ensuring millions would lose their jobs and watch their lives destroyed.
That’s not hyperbole. That’s not partisan spin. It’s objective truth. Donald Trump presided over one of the most catastrophic destructions of a major world power. His particular faults exacerbated this disaster and now the tragedy is going to be unfathomable.
The question isn’t whether Trump should be re-elected. If he was a sane actor or this a sane country he’d resign in disgrace today, right now, and leave in total disgrace.
The work of the United States for years, if not decades, will be primarily focused on repairing the damage Trump has done and returning the country to an approximation of where it was in 2016. We’re going to lose out on so much.
