Whether this administration is purposely highballing or lowballing the projected number of deaths, the fact remains that as of today, we have nearly 40x the number of deaths as S. Korea, and we haven’t even had the worst of it yet.
We had our first confirmed deaths on the same day. They tested and traced. Trump golfed, held rallies, called it a hoax, and laughed. Their kids are going back to school; our are having the rest of the academic year canceled.
They have less than two hundred dead. Our kids, when they finally do go back, will probably have more than one beloved staff member who’s gone forever. They’ll have a summer; we’ll have camps and festivals canceled.
Whether or not they’re highballing or lowballing the numbers, each number represents a human being.
