Officials have described what will happen next week as being akin to 9/11, yet at this briefing officials have been very optimistic, talking about "glimmers of hope." Asked how Americans should reconcile these mixed messages, Trump says, "I don't think they're so different."
Trump is asked why he's promoting hydroxychloroquine, and he bizarrely denies that he is. The reporter pushes back, and asks what he expects to accomplish by his constant promotion of it, and Trump rambles for a bit before yelling some gratuitous insults about CNN.
And now the president is sharing his criticisms of the highway repairs he's witnessed, and how based on his experience in construction he can see that most highway repairs are done terribly, and needlessly over budget.

A reporter asks Dr. Fauci about hydroxychloroquine, but Trump gets visibly annoyed and stops him from answering.
Whenever a reporter starts to ask a question that Trump doesn't like, he starts talking angrily over the reporter to drown them out, and starts generically talking about how amazing and incredible his response has been, and then insists the reporter already knows that.
These briefings were already like 90% propaganda to begin with, but on a functional level they're now nothing but propaganda. There's no information gained by having reporters there.
