Victims reached out to @PoliceNG, here, of an ongoing ARMED ROBBERY OPERATION in SANGO OTA, Ogun State.

ONE HOUR later, the CLOWN behind @PoliceNG_CRU came asking for DM👇

This LAXITY by @PoliceNG in securing lives & property MUST STOP.

2/ Since the late 1970s, the ROTS bedeveling @PoliceNG have continued to WORSEN.

How can victims of armed robbery contact the @PoliceNG_CRU over an ongoing robbery operation, and it took them ONE HOUR to respond?

FACT is, Nigeria's CENTRIFUGAL POLICING SYSTEM ain't WORKING.

3/ Cases abound where @PoliceNG is contacted over robbery incidents, & they SHAMELESSLY tell victims, there is no gas in their vans to get there. Cases abound where @PoliceNG show up at crime scenes after the criminals had concluded & bolted, to ARREST innocent passers-by.

4/ On this app, @Twitter, we have observed with disgust how victims of crimes perpetrated by cops, et al, would contact @PoliceNG_CRU for succour, and they would be told to visit the nearest Police State or Police Headquarters.

THIS IS 2020! THIS POLICE INEPTITUDE MUST STOP!

5/ Many a tweeps, know my views about this CENTRIFUGAL, UNWORKING, LAZY & CORRUPT @PoliceNG:

1. Decentralise @PoliceNG into 37 Independent State Police & 774+ Independent Local Police Departments.

2. It brings Policing closer to 200m Nigerians.

3. This tames crime, insecurity.

6/ ABUSE BY GOVERNORS & LG CHAIRS: WAY OUT

1. @NigeriaGov should only have control over & fund Federal security & intelligence agencies such as @officialEFCC, @ICPC_PE, DSS, NIA, et al.

2. These feds will tame Governors, LG Chairs, who abuse powers of a decentralised police.

7/ FUNDING

Under-funding made @HQNigerianArmy to take over civil @PoliceNG job of internal security, till date.

WAY OUT

1. Review revenue sharing formular
2. Review tax sharing formular
3. Remove excess items on Exclusive Legislative List
4. Reduce WASTE in govt
5. Tame graft
