When it comes to inclusion, there are too many in the #photography world who still want people like me to sit at the back of the bus. 
Fellow photographers, collectives, curators, editors, brands + publishers don't have visions + plans that include people like me.
But Shaun, I hear you cry, it's never been so good.

But Shaun I hear you say, you can't ignore the success of NAME, NAME or NAME.
Truth? The success of breakthrough photographers doesn't negate the fact that there are many more who are as good + held back by an institutional lack of diversity.

Simply put, diversity engagement should be proactive rather than reactive lipservice. Do you proactively engaging with those of us at the back of the bus?
Things will change. They always do. Sadly, in this case like so many others, change requires people like me to go beyond our peers to arrive at the same place. It requires us to head to the parks.
