At which universities will the presidents voluntarily drop their salaries to no more than $200,000 a year and funnel that money into retaining instructional faculty and student support personnel?
I don't pretend these gestures by the highest paid figures at our universities would make the budgets whole by any stretch, but they would be meaningful expressions of belief that universities exist to educate students, rather than compensate executives and coaches.
