people in general are now getting + will over the next week become totally "over it", can only speak for america but its extremely rare that we've had to "stay focused" on one traumatic thing for so long, if the start of the virus was a shooting people would have forgotten by now
the real question is which way the meta-media social consciousness aggregaters + molders will choose to frame this and what story they will make it into. if like 9/11 people will remember it in a serious way forever or if eventually itll be like harambe or just another time-meme
i think the next month will decide this. imo news hasnt really been pumping the "gruesome" angle, they slip in "oh theres this truck outside the hospital, oh some places that store bodies are swamped" but will they hyper spotlight this aspect or sweep it under. only they know
