Good morning,

There will be no vaccine for 12-18 months.

Social distancing is only a short term solution.

The only way will be able to leave our homes is if the government starts TESTING EVERYONE

The sooner we accept this (and demand it), the sooner we can get back to living.
It goes like this:

If we flatten the curve and then simply “get back to normal,” the virus will return with a vengeance and people will die on a massive scale.

Instead, if we test EVERYONE regularly, treat the sick and quarantine the exposed, we can begin to live again.
This is an ENORMOUS undertaking (10-20 million tests per day) requiring a level of production mobilization equal to world war 2, except instead of planes and bombs, we must produce reagents, equipment and lab space.

It is also the ONLY way we can leave our homes safely.

- Most of the covid bailout money went to people Trump favored.

- Kushner massively bungled the PPE response

- S Korea got the virus on the same day & had only 255 deaths TOTAL

Trump said he didn’t get the country ready for covid-19 because he said he, “had a lot going on.”

He was first warned on JANUARY 3rd.

The United States has the WORST Coronavirus response in the ENTIRE WORLD.
There is NO PLAN for mass production of masks and other PPE to protect people.

There is NO PLAN for mass testing.

There is NO PLAN for the unemployment facing the nation.

Trump’s only PLAN is to let thousands of people die every day while blaming others for his abject failure.

Yesterday, the US had 28,429 new coronavirus cases.

South Korea had *ZERO*.

The first case was discovered ON THE SAME DAY in both countries.

South Korea followed science.

The US followed a madman.
The reason the madman President was up all night rage-tweeting is bc the US just passed 60,000 deaths, which was his standard for SUCCESS, and he's trying to change the subject by starting a culture war (as always).

Don't buy it.

This affects all of us and we're in it together.
To the Republicans who are going around saying, "It's okay, it's only OLD PEOPLE dying," I just want to say some of the people I love most in the world, some of the funniest, kindest, most dear and loving people I've ever known are older and YOU ARE MONSTERS for saying this.

It's time to start thinking about what comes next and the very obvious solution is that we simply cannot reopen society in any meaningful way until we have a MASSIVE nationwide testing regimen.

That is the ONLY way that we are going to be able to go back to living our lives.
If we don't test, the virus will spread quickly and we will be back to social distancing (or death).

THE ENTIRE US POPULATION must be tested at regular intervals (ever few weeks). Those infected must be treated. Those who've come in contact with the disease must be quarantined.
This is a MASSIVE effort, requiring a war-time attitude, something like the production boom of world war 2, but instead of bombs and planes, we must manufacture equipment, reagents and establish massive new labs.

We're talking about 10-20 million tests PER DAY. It's huge.
