1/4 A prayer for my sister @bartlamroisin on Easter Sunday, a junior doctor in A&E. Reading Simone Weil’s ‘Human Personality’ recommended by a mentee (actually a mentor). All humankind is sacred; for no other reason than that it is.
2/4 No human should suffer at the hands of another without adequate explanation. No human should go unheard when they tell their government they’re suffering. Governments should give space to the faintest cry to make itself heard. My sister, like most NHS staff, barely complains.
3/4 #UKGovernment @matthancock Please give her space to voice her concerns. Please don’t dodge her questions even though you don’t have an answer. Please give her enough ventilators so that she does not have to make inhuman decisions. Please give her PPE so that she can keep safe
4/4 Please treat her like she is sacred because she is.
