Running your Instagram Ad directly from Instagram is a more straight forward and direct option. If you are a beginner, you will find it much more enjoyable to run your ads using the Instagram app.

The platform itself guides you through the...
entire process...and is completely seamless.

The advert set up is straight forward and the delivery is as well obvious.

On the other hand...

Running your Instagram advert from Facebook has a more complex feel to the process.

There are several options and several sections...
to complete... and without reasonable experience, you are very likely to create ads that will not deliver.

But hey... I created a little guide for you yesterday.

From my experience, running advert directly from Instagram earns you a better reach and better impressions.

More people will see your ads...
I found this out by TESTING severally...

I discovered that when I ran the same ad I ran on Instagram on Facebook, I got a lot less impressions and a lower reach.

here are a few reasons why I think this happens...

1. Running ads on Instagram means you are simply promoting a...
post or a story, and my suspicion is that the platform assumes that the ad being promoted is a simple boost for brand awareness.

2. The amount of users of the ad platform on Instagram is significantly lower than those that use the Instagram direct option, so bids are maybe...
fewer.

3. Your audience selection on the Instagram ad platform is extremely broad due to the absence of detailed targeting... so surely your ads will reach more people.

From the second point, it is quite straight forward to infer that you..
will get better engagements in terms of likes and comments. But without inference, from my experience, I have found that my ads got way better engagements running it directly from Instagram.

At this point, I think I need to establish... that the comparison is based on equal...
advert budgets.

This is also an interesting one, I have noticed that for some weird reason, it takes a lot less time for my ads to be approved when I run it directly from Instagram...

And not just that... I am able to use some...

But again, I will blame it on competition and the number of users of the Instagram ad platform.

Promoting your post or story directly from Instagram has a far greater and long lasting effect on your Instagram page. Your page gets favoured more on the explore page and...
comes up higher...on the Instagram search engine.

Here is why, any post you promote through Instagram will never get removed from the page, and so the ranking algorithm will continue to read your engagements and use it to rank you...

But when you run your ads from Facebook...
soon as you stop the ad, the post will get removed from Instagram.

The algorithm also tends to treat your ad separate from your page identity especially when the destination is not your profile on Instagram or Instagram messenger...

Here is why I think this happens, your audience targeting using Facebook is a bit neater...
than when you run through Instagram, and as such the engagements you receive are more likely to be people that are truly interested in your niche or offer,

so even though they may not accept your offer then, they may decide to keep you in mind by following you.

When you run ads directly...
through Instagram, and you place the ad on a story alone, the platform will strictly keep your ads to the stories of audiences alone.

Why should you be using Instagram stories? More and more people are increasingly viewing stories more than posts. ๐Ÿ’

Running your ads from Instagram will not allow you create and target a more detailed or comprehensive audience.

The amount of interest variables you can insert into the platform are way fewer than using the Facebook platform...
With Facebook, you can even target audiences on pages using Instagram.

So where you can target people who have jobs as online marketers on Facebook, you can only target Online marketers on Instagram...

So therefore it is impossible to execute conversion tracking when using the Instagram advert platform..

instagram, your ads cannot be edited. The only way to go about your edit is to delete the original post or story and start afresh. This means you will loose all your insights and progress reports.

Facebook permits an edit and re-promotion.

From my experience in all of my businesses, I found that when you wish to convert an audience seeing your ad or your business for the first time..
into immediate sales... running your advert gives you higher conversions. Especially when running message adverts.

USE BOTH OPTIONS! ...

Test to know which works best for you.
