This discussion with @IsaacDovere allowed me to talk about a point that is critical to emphasize & understand in the months ahead: it's important that we not use the term "partisanship" to paper over the racism & white supremacist underpinnings that animate voter suppression.
Yes it’s partisan. But racism and white supremacy remain at the core of voter suppression.
