On the subject of testing, DHS reported two big contracts for Covid-19 tests from South Korean medical suppliers.

Osang Healthcare: $3 million. (unknown #)

SD Biosensor Inc: $5.2 million. (3,000 test kits)

Both of these contracts were awarded last week.

Generally speaking, contracting databases tend to be more illuminating on details of how much equipment for how much money than the briefings.
HHS has not yet responded to a request for comment on how many tests are in these contracts and how they will be distributed.

This is just a data point, with a fuller picture coming as my research progresses.

Asked about Dr. Rick Bright's allegations that he was pushed out of BARDA for questioning chloroquines, Trump claims he never heard of him.

Dr. Bright led the agency in charge of the production and purchase of vaccines during this pandemic.
Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) is the subsection of HHS responsible for protecting the United States from chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear threats and pandemics.
One good follow up question for that answer is:

If in fact you do not know Dr. Bright, do you think that you should know someone with such a crucial position in your administration's pandemic response?

Moments after Trump announcing at the briefing that he signed his immigration order, the White House sends this proclamation to reporters.
It applies to immigrants who:

* are outside the US on the effective date (April 23).

* don't have a valid immigrant visa or official travel document by then.

Exceptions for immigrants who:

* can help fight the pandemic as a doctor or nurse.

* is in the military.

And more.
"This proclamation shall expire 60 days from its effective date and may be continued as necessary."

Reminder: California prosecutors sued MyPillow twice, saying the company touted bogus “double-blind” studies. Both cases settled.

Now, MyPillow is getting paid taxpayer money to make PPE for veterans.
From a complaint accusing MyPillow of peddling a fake clinical study.
Lindell told Politico that he need to hire a subcontractor for this project because the VA wants KN95 masks (the China-regulated N95 masks).
