Apart from 5g what's the most batshit crazy Covid conspiracy theory you've heard? I've seen suggestions it doesn't even exist.
My God, what have I unleashed?
Just over a month ago I covered one of the Covid 19 conspiracy theories - the one suggesting it had been exported to China by US servicemen. Clearly we are in need of an update.

It's always been my opinion that the greatest conspiracies rest in plain sight. The dodgy dossiers and the obviously deceitful political campaigns to furth nefarious agendas. Conspiracy theories themselves are a conspiracy- suiting the agendas of propagandists and dodgy regimes.
People actually believed that Putin had put lions and tigers on the streets of Russia to stop people going outside. Some people are very, very stupid and we have to be allowed to say this..... VERY STUPID

Corbyn and Momentum had their chance - they took the wheel and drove Labour off a cliff. They failed the party, they failed the progressive cause and they failed Britain in a period when strong opposition was needed more than at any time in post war history.
Worse still - Corbyn enabled the ERG, hard right libertarian Brexit cause.
Starmer is not going to be an all solving miracle man but he's a huge leap in the right direction. Anti populist, competent, ferociously clever and articulate. He's the very antithesis of the feather-weight popinjay Johnson and frankly thank fuck he's won.

In 1708 Jonathan Swift pulled off an epic April Fool.

Swift had beef with an agnostic astrologer called John Partridge who had made a name for himself  out of bogus predictions in an almanac.
When in his 1708 edition Partridge predicted a pandemic would hit London in early April of that year, Swift published an alternative  almanac under a fake name predicting that Partridge would die from it.
This pissed Partridge off no end and matters worsened when Swift (under the pseudonym) published an obituary of Partridge who only found he was *dead* out when he took to the streets to find people asking him why he wasn't in a coffin.

Since Brexit there's been a dramatic fall in number of EU nurses registered in the UK. Figures were down 87% from 6,400 in 2016/17 to 800 in 2017/18.

Now the government is talking about bringing nurses out of retirement to help tackle Coronavirus. These things aren't unrelated.
This is a completely unavoidable nursing crisis and it's been caused by Brexit. Of course nobody is talking about that.
But here's another thing to consider. Retired nurses will presumably be in the higher risk group. So even if they are willing to come out of retirement, who's to say they will be entirely safe?
