Currently assistant general secretary at @unisontheunion, in 2017 Oldknow was Labour’s executive director for governance, membership and party services – making her part of a senior management team who the document alleges conspired to replace Corbyn as leader. 
This conversation took place in relation to the Manchester Gorton by-election selection. While the media regularly claimed Corbyn rigged candidate selections to favour ‘his people’, the conversation detailed here appears to indicate the precise opposite of that.
Throughout the report, Oldknow is alleged to have commented negatively on the appearance of women who worked in Corbyn’s team – in particular his political secretary Katy Clark, and chief of staff, Karie Murphy. Judge for yourself if this appropriate for workplace colleagues.
In 2018 Oldknow said “We have transformed our HR, ensuring our processes are fair and transparent so we can employ the very best, committed and dedicated people". Yet in this conversation she looks forward to new potential hire for compliance being 'malleable'.
When asked for comment on the allegations, & the contents of the report, Emilie Oldknow threatened to sue myself and @novaramedia - she claims the statements are untrue and scandalous, yet appears to contradict herself later calling them 'tittle tattle'. See both responses below.
