@WhoWouldWin13 military (should have used First Order, but they became a new Galactic Empire anyway). That would make their martial arts far more deadly than those of 21rst century Earth.

However, Rita not only has impressive combat experience of her own, her combat suit gives her superhuman

@WhoWouldWin13 speed, agility and strength. She can engage with Mimics, which are likewise known for their super strength, agility and speed. Though Phasma has no doubt faced super strong and super fast aliens before, she most often faces normal human-like foes. Indeed, It can be debated if she

@WhoWouldWin13 ever faced someone with the combination of super speed, (speed x acceleration = power), strength and agility that Rita brings to the table.

The only thing that Phasma may ultimately have up her sleeve here is superior metallurgy. Remember, she comes from a civilization that is

@WhoWouldWin13 Galaxy wide. This means that countless worlds have combined their knowledge, and this would have to include metallurgy. Thus, her armor may be made out of a FAR stronger material than Rita's sword or combat suit.

However, this isn't necessarily the case. Kevlar body armor on

@WhoWouldWin13 is made in the 21rst century, and it is far more advanced than medieval armor when it comes to stopping bullets. However, it is not more advanced than medieval armor...when it comes to stopping bladed weapons. @_Skallagrim_ goes into this on one of his videos:

@WhoWouldWin13 @_Skallagrim_ Indeed, as Skallagrim notes in the video just posted above, some modern body armor designed for blades wont defend you from all bladed weapons. Some that can defend you from a knife wont necessarily defend you from an arrow or spear or spike.

Why is this important?

Its possible that her body armor is designed only to stop energy bolts, not bladed weapons (and as any Star Wars fan knows well, armor of both the old Galactic empire and that of the First Order is useless in stopping blaster
