These are not top 5 lists for me, just 5 perfect rides from each decade. The 1930s was the hardest, it's far and away the greatest decade for American comedy.
Question: Are these movies comedies?

1. The Maltese Falcon
2. Treasure of the Sierra Madre
3. The Third Man
4. For a Few Dollars More
5. The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly
6. The Master
Some ppl responded to this today questioning whether Lolita, Yojimbo, or Being There are comedies. Yes, they are. All three are about dark, disturbing subjects, and some ppl tend rule that out for comedy. This, btw, is as close as Toshiro Mifune ever came to a double-take.
