The Guardian has a memorial page to many of the 109 NHS and private healthcare workers they are aware of having lost their lives to the coronavirus.

NursingNotes also have a memorial page, showing details of every victim on a map of the UK. They have recorded the deaths of 120 health and social care workers.

HSJ aggregated information about the death of 119 NHS staff and analysed it (anonymously i.e. without identifying the individuals in question) to draw out trends such as age, ethnicity, location, occupation etc.

Meanwhile, the UK Government's official figure for deaths among NHS staff stands at just 49. Like everything else to do with the coronavirus, their data collection in this respect seems wildly out of date.

It will repel mosquitoes, which were never the vector for COVID-19. Pure quackery, like sending them into battle armed with pointed sticks.

(Insect repellent's not only useless, it's worse than useless - because it gives a false sense of security.)

They're also apparently going to be given disinfectant (to wash with, not to inject!) and vitamin D supplements.

Shameful! None of this will protect them from the virus.
The WHO have weighed in on the issue in the past... The idea that mosquitoes can transmit COVID-19 is one of the myths they've picked out to bust.

Because of course they are. Why wouldn't the UK Government take the opportunity to mess up one more thing when it's an open goal?

The way the Tories have approached the whole coronavirus crisis is like the famous Spinal Tap scene, only with the outrage going up to 11, rather than amps...
I like my knuckles as they are. But hundreds of times a day, the Tories will do something that makes me want to punch the nearest wall. Resistance is exhausting, but so far they've remained unbloodied.

Goodness! The UK Government couldn't organise a glass of water in an Evian bottling plant.
Mind you, it's an odd story when you think about it for a bit, because Dyson's never had a *certified* ventilator to supply.

So "company isn't going to supply product it doesn't have" would probably be a lot closer to the truth, whatever that means these days.
