Just listened to “model talk” from @FiveThirtyEight where @NateSilver538 interviewed Chris Murray whose team make the covid19.healthdata.org/united-states-… models - one of the models used by the White House
It was excellent- getting into modelling philosophy and details - calling Chris on key facts and thoughtful commentary by @NateSilver538 on modelling choices and positioning
I note the UK just doesn’t have this sort of journalism - @jburnmurdoch and @ChrisGiles_ are the closest - I’d love them interviewing Ferguson and @AdamJKucharski
The quality of conversation though I think is one step higher as @NateSilver538 is someone who makes models and understands the practicalities and complications (data teams ... bugs...).
