We had a great session where @deepakabbot talked about products, growth, users, nbu and so much more. Thank you so much for sharing such wisdom with us, we are obliged! 🙏

Here are some snippets from the talk -

1. Talk to customers 📢 - Shouldn’t be all time time, shouldn’t be never! Talk to few customers/future users casually per week. ]Its that simple. Any channel is ok, talk about problems and not ask them solutions

2. Don’t obsess about competition 🥊- Keep an eye on what they are doing, but don’t be over worried. Smart creators can even learn from them. Also, don’t stress over their numbers

3. Always check if users will pay 💰- Sometimes people miss this. A great product without a solid business will not be sustainable. Test this through direct / indirect channels

4. Find your north star / omtm 🥅- Always have that 1 number to chase, that will define the success of failure of the product. One number that everyone in the company will look at

5. Learn to say no 📵- But be prepared and have options ready. Don’t just say no without reasoning / alternatives

6. Kill features ⚔️ - Be good at letting go. If a features doesn’t do well in 1-2 iterations, starting thinking about letting go of it

7. Team vs customers 🤼- Be great to your team always but protect your customers over your team in case you need to (as an answer to the question - people say you’re the best boss, how do you do that)

8. Think simple 🌐- Dumb down your understanding of the world while building mass products. All your segments are not you. Your users might be extremely more simple and will not give too much time to understand your product.

9. Failure teaches you more than success 🍂- When things don’t work, figure out the reasons, and iterate better next time

10. Closing thoughts - Consumption will only go up from here, keep building! 💪
