In terms of incentives, what's worse - how cheap universities are, how hard they try to bribe students, or how the rewards highlight their misunderstanding and infantilising of student motivation?

At the same time, it's well-established that the NSS is a really poor (read: invalid) measure of teaching quality and student experience. We're back to the recognition that the NSS has been foisted on universities, but they've also bought into it. #NSS
