Pet peeve: criticizing Trump for dodging America's dumbest and most evil war in living memory. Trump was right to dodge that draft and so was anyone else who did. Attack him for the actual bad things he does, not the entirely reasonable and correct thing he did.
Of course Trump didn't dodge the Vietnam draft for any noble or moral reasons. Most draft dodgers didn't, and it doesn't matter. It was an unspeakably evil war and should never have happened. The blame rests solely on those who inflicted it on our world, not those who dodged it.

If @HowieHawkins actually wants @GreenPartyUS to crack 5%, he will persuade Ventura to run and then stand aside and endorse him.
Because almost no one knows who Hawkins is and everyone knows who Ventura is. Because there's a ton of energy and enthusiasm behind Ventura. Because Ventura's views, while imperfect, have evolved immensely and are sufficiently in line with GP values.
Haven't researched his positions on every issue but for those saying he still has right-libertarian economic views:

It's always about power. Power comes before everything, including profit, which is why you see escalations against nations who'd very profitable to continue trading with and why critics of US foreign policy are attacked far more aggressively than critics of its domestic policy.
Manipulators understand that wealth control is a means to power and not an end in itself; that's why you see things like Zuckerberg hurting his own profit margins by making changes to Facebook which make the platform less fun to use but shore up establishment narrative control.
Power trumps profit every time. Manipulators are driven ultimately by the desire to control as many humans as possible to the greatest extent possible. Money is a useful tool for accomplishing that, but in a pinch they'll swap it out for military/police force or censorship etc.

Ha ha ha let's all laugh at rumors that Kim Jong Un might be dead because he runs a crazy backwards regime where the media are a propaganda arm of the state and the public is oppressed and surveilled and people are imprisoned for exposing the truth about the government.
I unequivocally condemn the DPRK for encircling the planet with hundreds of military bases, waging dozens of undeclared military operations, destroying any nation which disobeys it, arming terrorists, and imprisoning journalists who expose its war crimes.
