Came across a hurtful question on @Quora.
I appealed to @QuoraHelp to remove the question. I wrote that the question that they have published on their platform hurts my religious sentiments.
Quora didn't delete the offensive question, instead they threatened to ban me.
When I logged in, #Quora greeted me with a message that my answer has violated their policy.
What answer?
It's the same answer where I have alerted Quora that somebody with a fake Hindu name has posted an offensive question to deliberately hurt the sentiments of Hindus.
I know that in India, I have no special rights. If I try to advertise my religion or my allegiance towards religious organisations then I might be prosecuted.
But I want to ask a humble question.
Who gave #Quora the right to assume that they can hurt my religious sentiments?
Just log into Quora and you will see a numerous such questions that hurt the sentiments of a Hindu.
Many questions directly target Lord Ram. Reporting such questions doesn't help because #Quora promotes such questions in their feeds.
Why do they think that they can get away?
There are many topics on Quora that discuss how the platform is increasingly getting crowded with anti-Hindu content.
Hindus are tolerant.
Hindus are prosecuted for speaking up for their religion.
So a Hindu is fair game?
