Today @CC_Yale published my article debunking Michael Moore & Jeff Gibbs' garbage anti-clean energy film.

Fellow environmentalists, I'd like to have a word. Please read my piece and then step into my Twitter office, if you would.

We've been fighting for climate action (without a lot of success) for over 30 years now. The reason we haven't won isn't that @algore or @billmckibben are secret evil villains, as Moore and Gibbs would have us believe.

It's that THE FOSSIL FUEL INDUSTRY ARE ACTUAL VILLAINS!!

Fossil fuel companies have spent billions of dollars undermining climate policy proposals, international climate negotiations, and spreading doubt about climate science among the public, even as their own scientists warned them about climate change before I was even born.

The reason the fossil fuel industry has spent so much money is that the clean energy climate solutions endanger their massive profitability. Exxon doesn't want to see us driving EVs charged by solar panels and wind turbines. That would be the end of their business model.

What I'm trying to say is that fighting this evil behemoth is difficult enough. And now along come these clowns interviewing a bunch of inexpert white guys to make the case that we environmentalists should also oppose clean energy solutions.

Are you kidding me?!?!

And it's working! The film, despite is @FoxNews style approach to factual information, is nearing 5M views, with largely glowing reviews. And there are rumblings that some environmentalists are beginning to oppose new wind and solar projects because of this film's propaganda.

We need renewable energy to displace fossil fuels. It's our one chance to beat both the fossil fuel industry and climate change. And it's been working! Despite the lies in the film, US power sector carbon pollution is down by one-third over the past decade. We're making progress!

Don't let this propaganda film undermine that clean energy progress and turn us into fossil fuel industry allies. They've already bought the @GOP. We've finally got @TheDemocrats starting to make climate & clean energy a top priority. But we're running out of time.

We certainly don't have time to waste opposing the most successful, effective climate solutions to date. We need to be hitting the accelerator deploying these technologies, not the brakes.

Don't let these #PlanetoftheHumans clowns turn us into Exxon puppets.
