Is it true that Conservative Party members were emailed on Tuesday encouraging them to apply for Coronavirus tests to bulk up the numbers before the end of the month?

Why not other party members?

That's not a good look!
How kind hearted of the Conservative party to write to all their members giving them advice that they didnt share in the same way with supporters of other political parties. Very generous of them!

1/3 Heres why a General Election will fix nothing in the UK. Imagine you are running a successful, thriving growing restaurant in a really busy part of town, the tables are full of customers every night, your ingredients arrive from the warehouse next door perfectly on time
2/3 your clientele come from all over the area and word spreads how great your restaurant is and you enjoy continued success.

Then one day a hurricane comes along and blows your restaurant to pieces...
3/3 if you simply put up a sign on the pavement saying "under new management", your restaurant is still demolished and unlikely to attract any clientele at all, the regulars have now found somewhere else to dine and they love it there.

A general election will NOT fix Brexit.

THREAD In 2011 79% of respondents to a study of UK public attitudes to science agreed with the statement ‘the UK needs to develop its science and technology sector in order to enhance its international competitiveness’, with only 3% disagreeing.
A sector that people like it seems. Why then are 40% or so of the public considering a vote to leave the EU and take away a whole bunch of EU funding?

UK research is highly competitive across a wide range of fields.
While the UK represents only 0.9% of the world population and 3.2% of research and development (R&D) expenditure, it accounts for: 6.4% of the world’s academic publications; 11.6% of citations; and 15.9% of the world’s most cited publications.
