1/7 Thread: Steve Jobs: The Lost Interview (1990)

While investing is mostly about future, I find it fascinating to look back and learn from the past.

I plan on sharing some of the most intriguing articles/letters I have read or currently reading.

Today is on Steve Jobs.
2/7 "...we humans are tool builders. And that we can fashion tools that amplify these inherent abilities that we have to spectacular magnitudes. And so for me, a computer has always been a bicycle of the mind."
3/7 "...my observation is that the doers are the major thinkers. The people that really create the things that change this industry are both the thinker and doer in one person.

...it’s very easy to take credit for the thinking. The doing is more concrete"
4/7 Never underestimate the power of a "hobbyist community".
5/7 "we started the company because it was the only alternative left, not because we wanted to."
6/7 "These are the people that under different circumstances would be painters and poets but because of that time that we live in this new medium has appeared in which to express oneself to one’s fellow species and that’s a medium of computing."
