First people Gandhi met after coming to India were Khilafat brothers. He felt that the cause of Khilafat (the goal for which ISIS kills non-Muslims) was just and it should receive all possible support.
Gandhi felt that the cause of Khilafat was equal in priority and weightage to the cause of Indian independence.
Thousands of Hindus were killed by Mopilas. Gandhi called them brave and God fearing people who fought for their religion.
Historian RC Majumdar asks a very sharp question : If Gandhi suspended Civil Disobedience Movement for small scale violence in Chauri Chaura, why didn't he suspend Hindu Muslim unity after massage slaughter of Hindus by Mopilahs ?

Gandhi, when in South Africa, urged Indian diaspora there to fight the Boer war for British so Indians can prove their loyalty to British and they couldn't leave British at such a point.
Gandhi felt that Hindu Muslim enmity was just brothers fighting with one another before eventually coming to peace. He also compared this to dirt on potter's wheel which will settle down.

Gandhi had no problem with British handing over the power of India to Muslim League which supported Pakistan movement and killed Hindus via it's provincial governments.

Gandhi on 3 March 1947 : "Congress will accept partition only on my dead body.
On 14 June of same year he accepted partition.
Gandhi was against conversions, he felt that one should be a better follower of his own faith than to be underminer of other's faiths.
Gandhi was against Sanyasa. He told Sanyasis to look after their own bread instead of depending on others.
Gandhi felt that the Kashmiri Hindus and Muslims were one as they both had similar clothes, language and culture.
Gandhi during Noakhali violence where minority Hindus were being mercilessly killed by Muslims : "Hindus shouldn't have any sense to revenge against Muslims despite what they did to Hindus."

Gandhi didn't always support allowing untouchables in temples, at times he was with temple traditions.
Ambedkar wanted the Depressed Classes to convert out of Hinduism to some other religion, Gandhi prevented that.
