Mayor de Blasio said that 139 homeless people agreed to accept support and services in the first night, which he described as a hopeful sign.

“We have never, ever seen so much success in a single night before,” he just told reporters.
First question from the Q&A session is about the number of 2,000 homeless people removed from the subways:

Where were those who did not accept services sent?

De Blasio gives a long preamble before doubting that statistic. "I can't understand how that number can be accurate."
De Blasio then turns the question over to Steven Banks, the Commissioner of the New York City Human Resources Administration/Department of Social Services (HRA)

"We encountered just north of 250 people, and just about 50 percent of them accepted services," Banks said.
