Stuff like this has obviously been circulating for months- conspiracy theorizing, bogus cures - but as more people become desperate for a way out of this, it’s gaining broader appeal. The idea that all we have to do is simply not believe this is an emergency is seductive.

One specific element in Mikovits story that I really want to focus on for a sec: her claims that Fauci and the NIH silenced and suppressed her. In fact, she received NIH funding to try to replicate her XMRV findings. She could not.
At 19 minutes in the link here, you'll see Mikovits at a press conference with the other researchers, acknowledging that, as she puts it, "it's not there," and thanking the NIH for looking so deeply into the issue.
This is where Mikovits' story starts to veer sharply from observable reality, and by 2014 she was speaking at Autism One. By 2018 she was being feted by medical conspiracy theory and "health freedom" websites. I'm really curious what happened. 
One more thing for the critical thinkers in my mentions - Mikovits claims she was "held in jail with no charges." You can, very literally, look up what the charges were. You can personally do that. See? Don't have to take anybody's word for it!
