1/ Stedi is now fully-distributed, and we're hiring serverless engineers & designers to build one of the last missing pieces of global infrastructure: a commercial trading network to automate the trillions of dollars in B2B transactions exchanged by every company on Earth.
2/ We have one goal: to process every B2B transaction on the planet. We are driving towards this goal with six tenets - many of which led us to a 100% serverless, AWS-native approach, and all of which strive towards an ideal of what we call 'Zero Touch Operations.'
3/ Tenet #1: Design for operational efficiency at any scale.

Our systems should scale ad infinitum with minimal toil. The goal is zero touch operations with no knobs to turn or buttons to press.
4/ Tenet #2: Build systems with components that self-improve over time.

Managed services should be used wherever possible in order to avoid diverting attention from building differentiated functionality. The goal is no proprietary systems other than business logic and core IP.
5/ Tenet #3: Bias towards usage-based costs.

Costs should scale up & down according to usage. The goal is zero costs incurred when the business is at rest, and 100% of actual costs definitively and programmatically allocated to customers.
6/ Tenet #4: Take no extraordinary measures.

Simply put: “things shouldn’t be that hard.” Unusual contortions suggest improper usage or insufficient service decomposition. Off-label usage of managed services should be avoided.
7/ Tenet #5: Build only for current requirements.

Aside from the current requirements (and our other tenets), no future criteria should be considered. YAGNI. The goal is no wasted effort on unused functionality.
8/ Tenet #6: Build extraordinary things.

We aren't here to build a normal company. Raise the bar with every change; don’t sacrifice long-term value for short-term results. The goal is high quality, defect-free, zero-touch solutions that delight customers—internal & external.
9/ We have no deadlines, OKRs, recurring meetings, performance reviews, budgets, or bureaucracy. Our only policy is "act in Stedi’s best interest." We pay top of market, have no hierarchy, and are a fully distributed organization. Our investors include @usv, @firstround & others.
10/ If you're interested in what we're building and how we’re building it, we'd love to hear from you. Links to follow.
13/ If you're not an engineer or designer, send us a note telling us what you'd like to do. We are extremely well-funded and we hire opportunistically: jobs.lever.co/stedi/1a0ef611…
