I'm cleaning out my gmail today and first. Wow. I can't believe there is no "sort by sender" function.

But two. More generally oof what a trip THAT was.

It was like an archeological expedition of my own personal time.
The furthest back, job applications for teaching. Wedding vows w our officiant. General back and forth with my wife.

Exchanges from a ttrpg I ran yeeeaaarrrs ago. Lots of those, actually.
After 2014, convention reservations. My first freelance work.

A batch of rejections for a short story.

Then another batch ~6 mo later.

My first sale.
My first freelance contract.
The second.

My first query (and it's rejection).
A flurry of house stuff.

And then? Fwoosh. QUERIES.
QUIERIES.
QUIERIES.

And the rejections.
Oh there was that super cool person I really wanna- annnd where they rejected me (it's cool though; I know it's not personal).
It's kinda neat, to see that growth. To see that level up and those exchanges. Don't mistake my discussion of all those rejections as frustration - I'm excited.
