[THREAD] I’m sharing extracts of what the new guidance means for those in the extremely clinically vulnerable group. This info was excruciatingly hard to find sifting through dozens of pages and heavy content on gov.uk yest. Hope this helps others #shielding . 1/
The main info page on who is classed as extremely clinically vulnerable, what shielding means, etc. BUT there is no info here on what it means for them in terms of staged plan, back to work, school, etc. So follow rest of thread: gov.uk/government/pub… /2
This content basically explains that the new guidance announced by PM on Sunday the 10th does NOT apply to those in the extremely clinically vulnerable group who should continue to follow shielding advice as usual until end of June/further notice. /3
Definition of that high-risk group and type of support available to them at present. 4/
Guidance to employers who employ people in that high-risk group or who live with others in that group. 5/
How long shielding is expected to be in place 6/
What shielding means 7/
Some mention of additional support underway for those shielding as the rest of the population ease out of lockdown 8/
What return to school/nursery means for children in this group or children who live with other family members in this group 9/
[END OF THREAD] note this content is changing regularly on gov.uk. Thread here is based on 12 May (today’s) content. Please do share this (in any format) with others in this group who may find this info too challenging to find/sift through. 10/
