I was going with an incredibly utilitarian design. I did the faculties first, laying them out as close to both the services and the airport. I then did the housing. I had a lot of space left, so I started making fish farms in the top left, replacing all the default water bodies.
That big rectangle next to it is my orchard. It used to be in the bottom right, but I moved it for convenience.
Then I realized that my island rating went down from 3 stars to 2, and I had a lot of undeveloped land to deal with. I put a small park between the housing and the fish farms, on the shoreside. I also added that cascade next to the orchard, for the same reason.
Lastly, I added those lines for the sake of making the navigation of the undeveloped land easier...
WHY THE FUCK DID THIS GIVE ME THE AMERICAN FLAG.
