Here's how I think about using Twitter as a tool to learn:
If you have the kernel of an idea, tweet it.
If you hear a concept & want to remember it, tweet it.
If you have an opinion but are worried it might be wrong, tweet it.
If you don’t write something down, you won’t retain it
If you can’t summarize something, you don’t understand it
If you can’t compress it, you won’t be able to spread it
Also the positive feedback encourages you to keep learning.
If you get ad-hominem responses, consider blocking (altho look past tone to find truth)
But: does something offend you? Good! Maybe you'll learn something (an additional POV, or if it not, deconstruct why it offends you). Good training.
Not being offended is a super power.
Have no followers? Tweet into the void
Scared you'll look dumb? No one cares
Like anything else, it's a muscle. It'll feel weird at first but then become natural.
Twitter isn't exactly built for all these use cases.
Roam Research is specifically designed for them so use it instead (or in addition)
