Yes.

I am impressed at how much it takes to unseat even a broken authoritarian system. I don't like to use Nazi Germany explicitly very often, it is a pattern, but the lessons are too easily lost in the shallow rejection.

And still it took beyond heroic effort to finally overcome that system.

The South was devastated yet was still fighting.

I think the analogy, or reality, of the lessons applies to our times.

I didn’t mean it as allegory. But fact.

I think we are seeing the forces of this great battle amassing. And we are in it whether we want to be or not.

I think we have the upper hand in the long run.
I do not think it is going to be easy.

I think there are things that need to be said and done.
Including remembering the beauty of what it is we are fighting for. That is why I pepper my threads w pictures & poetry.
