Barr’s shameless hackery could backfire:

This is akin to Judge Sullivan appointing a special prosecutor independent of the DOJ.
I imagine Gleeson will hew closely to his assignment, but there is a possibility it could lead him to investigate more deeply.

The chance of Trump pardoning Flynn just went from low to high.
This is a good thread:
The issue isn’t whether Flynn lied simply by pleading guilty— that’s really not a likely perjury charge— but whether he lied in other statements to the court.
