1) Daily new cases
2) Daily COVID deaths
The CDGR = 11.38%
1) Total cases across hotspot countries (>100K cases) and in India.
2) Total COVID deaths across hotspot countries (>3000 deaths) and in India.
How are countries recovering?
1) Good recover: Germany, S Korea, Iran (though ACTIVE cases increasing again).
2) Slowly: Italy, Spain...and much slower France.
3) Yet to show overall recovery because ACTIVE cases growing: US, UK, Russia, Brazil, India.
4) Turkey: doing a China?
Active cases in hotspot countries.
1) Active cases still growing in US, UK, Russia, Brazil and India - they remain in growth phase, yet to #FlattenTheCurve
2) Active cases growing consistently again in Iran after months of strong recovery.
How are ACTIVE cases growing across countries?
1) Slowing down: India, Russia, Brazil...
2) Gathering speed: Bangladesh, Iran, Sweden...
COVID death rate per million people:
1) Low: India, S Korea, Japan
2) High and rising: Belgium, UK, Sweden, US, Canada...
How are our states doing? #StateHealth
1)MH: 33.5% of cases; recovery dwarfed by big rise in active cases.
2)TN: 11.8% of cases, recovery small compared to high growth of active cases.
3)GJ: 11.7% of cases, recovery good and no growth in active cases.
4)Rising recovery elsewhere.
How are ACTIVE cases growing across states?
1) Gathering speed (not good): KL, BR, RJ, MP, KA
2) Slowing down in most states.
3) Slowing but remain high: OD, TN
Need to strengthen contact tracing and testing - to minimise growth of active cases.
Where are new cases coming from? 5Day moving average of new cases:
1)Most cases from MH (>1500 daily) and continues to grow.
2)Second largest number of new cases from TN (falling trend).
3)Then DL (rising trend) and GJ (falling trend).
4)Then RJ & MP: both facing rising trend
Are states testing enough? Positive cases per 100 tests:
1)High and rising: MH (10.8%) and GJ (7.7%) needs MUCH more contact tracing and testing.
2) Persistently high: DL (7%), MP (5%) need more contact tracing and testing to lower infection prevalence.

COVID death rate per million people across states (>150 cases) of India:
1) GJ: 4.5 times all India death rate.
2) MH: 4 times all India death rate.
3) DL: 2.5 times all India death rate.
4) WB, MP, DL, MH, GJ: pulling national death rate up.
