If a student (in session) gets hit by a surprise Test he or she wasn’t prepared for and as a result, completely failed; you’d never hear talk of

“Maybe God is trying to teach me something with this failure.”

Na gee; you were not prepared.
Now you’ve been exposed
If a boxer (for any reason) gets caught in a surprise exhibition match he wasn’t prepared for, and loses as a result; you will never hear

“Maybe God is trying to teach me something with this failure.”

Na gee. You weren’t ready and prepared. Now you know.
“If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.”
Proverbs 24:10 KJVA

“If you are weak in a crisis, you are weak indeed.”
Proverbs 24:10 GNB

“If you fail under pressure, your strength is too small.”
Proverbs 24:10 NLT
“If you fall to pieces in a crisis, there wasn’t much to you in the first place.”
Proverbs 24:10 MSG

“If you faint when under pressure, you have need of courage.”
Proverbs 24:10 TPT
The day life hits you with adversity, and you don’t have the tools to engage and win in and through it (Faith, courage, perseverance, God’s eye view) — it’s not because “God is trying to teach you something...”
Na gee, It only shows how there’s something you don’t know, weren’t prepared for, or didn’t prepare for.
Especially when Christ says “I have given (or will give) you the KEYS TO THE KINGDOM...”

Keys by which “WHATEVER YOU BIND OR LOSE ON EARTH will be endorsed accordingly in heaven.”

Only those whose eyes are open to and trained regarding these keys can bind and lose
If you ever get caught on your back in life — it is not because “God’s trying to teach me something”

It’s simply that there’s something you don’t know. And that’s ok. We seek greater wisdom and understanding because we know we don’t know All things.
“asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God...
“... I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance.”
Ephesians 1:17-18 NLT

1) BEFORE ADAM EVER KNEW HE HAD A NEED OR COULD PRAY

God knew he’d need (and provided for him)
🏠 a place to stay,
🍱 food to eat,
🗺️ a territory to have dominion over,
🤝 and helper(s) to collaborate together in being fruitful and having dominion long
2) And so Jesus says

“And when you pray, don’t be like those people who don’t know God. They continue saying things that mean nothing. They think that God will hear them because of the many things they say. Don’t be like them.
3) Your Father knows the things you need before you ask him. So when you pray, you should pray like this: ‘Our Father in heaven, we pray that your name will always be kept holy. We pray that your kingdom will come.

Here is why WE PRAY!
While some go into ghettos seeking young people to rehabilitate, Your nearby Political Aspirant goes into the same neighbourhoods to pick young men to use as political thugs to disrupt elections and what not
DOES THAT LOOK LIKE PEOPLE WHO CAME TO SERVE YOU?
WHEN THE FOUNDATION IS DESTROYED, WHAT CAN THE RIGHTEOUS DO? God said so through his Word. The foundation must be restored!
This is why Jesus didn’t move how the Israelites expected him to: How could he try to free Israel from Rome’s oppression; when he came to fix the problem that could heal both Jew, Roman and Greek?

THE HEART OF MAN IS DESPERATELY WICKED! FIX THE HEART; FIX THE MAN!

Faith is YOU knowing God and trusting His goodwill towards you.

To whatever degree that His promise(s) to you gives you rest (peace amidst a storm) that degree is the measure of your faith.
When I was preparing to get married, bills to be paid were soaring through my roof.
My big bro promised me N1million in support and boy oh boy my anxiety gave way instantly: I had peace for like 2 weeks. Why? Because I knew him enough to believe that if he had a way to spare 1 milli, he would give it to me. I mean it’s my wedding.

In the name of “progressive Christianity” I have acquaintances pushing for a form of #NoHypocrisy

That is to say, we can be open and free about the borderline carnal pleasures we still enjoy and not be judgemental

A short thread
I don’t make this tweet because I am totally rid of carnal pleasures. And by Carnal pleasures I mean stuff that potentially numb your spirituality sensitivity gradually because they aren’t in-your-face evil (even though most of them actually are...)
So for example, we should comfortably enjoy our favourite AfroPop Star’s latest hit track that crosses every line of spiritual and righteous sensitivity but is an uncountable vibe,...

It’s easy to say “your sins are forgiven, you are now born again.”
This is because people can see the works of sin, but no one can see sin itself. We can see the fruits of righteousness— but cannot see righteousness itself.
But to say “rise up and walk” is more difficult. Because for everyone in that vicinity, the only actual proof that God’s ability thrives within you is for that lame person’s body to respond to your very words and rise up on their feet.

Faith in Jesus Christ is not a football team. It is not about signing “star” players to our team; it’s about transformation of the life of every person that the Gospel meets!
We’ve been celebrating co-signs upandan and yet, for a decade of my observation — none of these co-signs have become a worthwhile thing, cause not legacy.
Whe will we learn? Open our eyes God, that we may no longer be conformed to the ways of the system but rather be transformed daily by the renewing of our minds.
