Giants CB DeAndre Baker's bail is set at $200,000 ($25,000 for each count). He also will not be allowed to leave the state of Florida at this time. The State asked for no bond.
The Judge did say that if Baker needs to leave the state for work, he could modify his ruling at a later date. So that leaves open the possibility that Baker could return to the Giants, if the NFL re-opens (and if that's still an option for him).
At the bail hearing, DeAndre Baker's attorney indicated he presented an affadavit from Dominick "Coach" Johnson, who said in the warrant he's known Baker and Quinton Dunbar since they were kids. He was at the party and, according to the attorney, he said "nothing occurred."
Said Baker's attorney, Bradford Cohen: "He gives a consistent statement with the police that nothing occurred. … It’s not even included in the warrant that there’s an independent witness that says ‘None of this actually happened.’”
The prosecutor disputed that version of Johnson's affadavit. “They have a friend who isn’t denying that there was an incident. All he’s saying is he wasn’t in fear. If your friend had a gun you may very well not be in fear because that’s your friend. The affidavit is very vague"
The Judge noted that the State attorney could still file a motion to have DeAndre Baker held until trial. But he’s allowed to post $200,000 bail and be released for now. He has to surrender his gun and have no contact with any victims.
Meanwhile, the mysterious man in the red mask remains unidentified, according to the prosecutor.
